Morning at the Pond

29 Mar

False raindrops stir the watery mirror.

Jumping bugs. Little reminders that all teems with life.

Proof that the great fall can not stop Almighty goodness and greatness.

Stillness, peace, broken only by the buzzing and humming of an early morning,

And the song of the dove.

Life in peace, peace only with life.

The pond sings glory.

The rocks cry out.

The trees strive upward.

The gray twilight threatens to stay but at last gives way.

The sun begins to break the grip of night.

Little by little, brightness comes,

Another revelation, another resurrection,

Less fearful, more beautiful, illuminating,

Helping me see my steps.
