What I See in the Dim Mirror

5 Jul

My pen is not a sword

My keyboard not a club

My heart is full of mercy

My thoughts are filled with love.

You are not my enemy

Though we do not think the same

But there’s no doubt this is real

It is not a game.

Still I see you

And I do not hate

You have the right to be wrong

And I have wronged for the right.

We aren’t really different

In the image we’re made

So we strive for a better world

And hope for healing rain.

I know I see in a mirror dimly

But what I see is true

I don’t have to have all the answers

I will keep on loving you.

How do we balance truth and love. Any attempt at truth will be labeled as unloving and far too many attempts at love are untruthful. Here is a very good attempt at both: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s4sKYhef5s&feature=youtu.be

I have not been impressed with Jonathan Falwell’s sermons the couple of times I have heard him, but his presentation in your link was excellent.
